Big Tech, also known as the Tech Giants, refers to the most dominant companies in the information technology industry, most notably the five largest American tech companies: Google, Amazon, Apple, Meta, and Microsoft. Recently Big Tech stocks collectively lost nearly $4 trillion in market value in 2022. Major corporations such as Amazon, Facebook, and Twitter have cut staff and pay.

Moral pessimism is the belief that humans are innately bad, and need to learn morality from external sources, fighting their inner urges to be better. Moral Optimism is the belief humans are innately good, and need to follow their true self and overcome societal expectations to be better.
